Now here in OC, we have this. Behold, the Mochido, aka the mochi donut. Made by Mochi Cream, a shop inside Mitsuwa Marketplace, the chewy confection is basically a coated ring of mochi filled with cream and a glaze-like sauce. It comes in flavors such as raspberry custard, peach yogurt, strawberry shortcake, double mango and cafe au alit.
Mochidos descended upon Mochi Cream's Torrance location back in April but we haven't seen them at the one in Costa Mesa until now.
