The Queen Mary forever remains a spooky place, the decommissioned luxury liner’s almost-a-century-old wooden decks, hidden nooks and crannies and overall faded glory giving off an aura that’s half Titanic, half The Shining. The added psychological boost of Halloween amps up the vibe with its Dark Harbor event, wrapping up an October run. Featuring three shipboard and two onshore mazes, Dark Harbor brings pyrotechnics, costumed ghouls and the four-story-tall “Hell’s Bells Tower” to the Royal Mail Ship. Of course, there’s plenty of booze at the Night Mariners’ bar to help soothe those jangled nerves. Cheers.
Thursdays-Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: Oct. 15. Continues through Oct. 31, 2010
