On the one hand, you have punk rock, a musical genre that is by definition somewhat critical of the status quo. On the other, you have the Carnival cruise ship, a boat that is by definition emblematic of bourgeois privilege. But hell, when was the last time “punk rock” really meant anything beyond loud guitars and poorly considered tattoos? Even a punk rocker can learn to enjoy shuffleboard and sunshine. The three-day cruise to Ensenada leaves Long Beach on Friday and comes back Monday, giving you plenty of time to get drunk, wake up with a hangover, and then get drunk again. In true punk style, there's no word on whether any entertainment has been booked, but hey, the mystery's half the fun, right?
