Blazing Saddles. Mel Brooks' hilarious spoof of racial politics and Westerns stands as one of his greatest achievements. Cleavon Little stars as Bart, an ex-slave appointed as sheriff of a small town by a corrupt developer who wishes to see the town fall into ruin so he can run a railroad through it. His plans backfire when Bart becomes immensely popular with the townspeople and makes it his goal to stop the developer at any cost. Gene Wilder co-stars as his quick-draw sidekick.
