In Motion

For centuries, poetry has been the connecting force between word and song. Used to envoke any number of feelings and emotion, this ancient art has been somewhat set aside and overlooked in this modern era. Once a common practice, poetry today now belongs to the true poets at heart—like both speakers of the Two Women poetry reading. Ricki Mandeville (author of A Thin Strand of Lights) and Kate Buckley (author of A Wild Region and winner of the North American Review poetry prize) keep the art alive alongside a poet of another kind—musician Michael Ubaldini.
