The first we heard of this Melbourne-based trio was when their debut LP graced the Weekly office a few years back. A bright pair of glossy, fuchsia lips and the reflection of a twinkling city through a ridiculous pair of mirrored sunglasses—the album was called Bright Like Neon Love , and we were infatuated. Cut Copy embodies the very ideals of electropop: sugary-sweet, slightly robotic and packed with synth riffs. The band’s next full length, 2008’s In Ghost Colours , kept Cut Copy in our hearts, as the band set off on a North American tour, thankfully making several stops in California. Get a healthy dose of saccharine dance music this Monday when they drop into the Glass House.
