It's perfectly understandable if LA's Ima Robot haven't exactly been on the forefront of your mind lately. They caught quite a bit of attention with their self-titled debut back in 2003 (you might know songs like “Alive” or “Dynomite”), but didn't really capitalize on that success with 2006 follow-up Monument to the Masses (not to be confused with From Monument to Masses, of course). They've got a new album in the works, though, and for those feeling mid-aughts nostalgia for their quirky, new wave-y powerpop, what better way to satisfy those cravings then a free show by them, tonight, at Detroit Bar? None more better.
