One con man is smooth and sophisticated; the other is crude and petty. Each man has his eye on the same prize: a young woman who recently inherited a massive fortune. But when these two crooks discover each other’s plans, it’s a no-holds-barred battle of wits to see who can swindle the woman first. Until now, this was the plot of the 1988 film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine. That was, however, until David Yazbek went and turned it into a critically acclaimed musical. As is a common occurrence in this day and age, you can now see some of your favorite movie characters as you’ve never seen them before: singing, dancing and making you laugh all over again.
