You (probably) know the drill: each month, a different band (or pair of bands) play free Monday night shows for a month at Detroit Bar, theoretically gaining much-needed exposure in their relatively young careers. Last month it was LA bands Huntingfield and the Ringers, this time it's two acts from Huntington Beach: Moostache and Evening Hour.
We were all aboard the Moostache train way back in January, writing this piece in Locals Only about them, but Evening Hour is pretty new to us (or, uh, me, at least. kind of hate using the “editorial we”). So it's definitely worth checking out, especially given, y'know, the price of admission. For young dudes, Moostache have a surprisingly mature sound–check out “Talking Ice Sea” on their MySpace, or better yet, download their EP for free (the link is on their MySpace!).
