If the average Heard Mentality junkie (all 2 or 3 of you) had a hot dog for every time we mentioned the cramped, sweaty experience of a show at The Prospector, you could open up your own Weinerschnizel. But in the eyes of DJ Oldboy, one of Avalon Bar's premier crate diggers, tonight's show is a whole new gig.
Aside from his special blend of classic blues and unearthed rock-n-roll gems, he's also managed to book the line-up that will be tearing up the stage as you fight for your space at the bar. It's a first for this guy, who many of you know has been promoting and playing shows all over OC and LB for quite sometime.
With performances from The Studiofix (pictured above), Alejandro's Awesome Surf Band and Head Sounds, there is plenty of sharp guitars and unbridaled “don't give a fuck” attitude to go around. I suggest you be there. $3 cover.
