Back in April, Welsh family band Los Campesinos!, the dudes behind 2008's excellent We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed, were scheduled to play Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa the day before their Friday Coachella gig. Mysteriously, the show was canceled–neither by the venue nor the band–the day before, the same week another Coachella artist, Friendly Fires, had their show canceled–again, neither by the venue nor the band–the day before that was supposed to take place. Hmm. How strange!
Jon Reiser over at Detroit promised us then that the show would be rescheduled for August, and hey, he was right! They're coming to Detroit Bar on Sunday, August 23; $14. The day before, they're playing the Glass House in Pomona; that show is $15, and tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday, June 5) at noon. SF thrashers Girls open both shows.
