Mark Mothersbaugh: Postcard Diaries and Arthur Taussig: Postcards from the Edges of America
In case you haven't heard of him, Mark Mothersbaugh is a composer for television,
film and video-game soundtracks like
Rushmore, Rugrats, Sims 2, and The Royal Tenenbaums. He's also one of the fun folks who instructs
kids on the fine art of doodling on Nickelodeon's Yo Gabba Gabba! As if that wasn't enough creativty for you, he's also been illustrating anywhere from one to 25 images per day on postcards as a sort of visual diary for the past 30 years. Though these post cards were never
meant for public viewing, Mothersbaugh is displaying some of his
favorite pieces from the collection in this art-gallery tour. Check it out.
