The Bay Area is representing big time in Orange County tonight, with the Blank Tapes and Indianna Hale both gettin' it done with a free show at La Cave in Costa Mesa.

The Blank Tapes–the musical vehicle for Matt Adams–is currently in the midst of a SoCal swing, having played at the Echo last night, and the LAB on Sunday. If you like thoughtful yet jolly (music can be both!) folk rock, check out Adams and his most record record, the 25-song Daydreams. We've written a lot about the Blank Tapes in OC Weekly, and with good reason: the guy plays down here quite a bit, and grew up in Orange County. Check out Rex Reason's interview with him, from January 2007, here.
We're not nearly as familiar with Indianna Hale, but upon listening to her for the first time, the verdict is: pretty cool! More of a slower, country-tinge than the Blank Tapes, but still a nice pairing. Fullerton's My Pet Saddle and DJ Velvet Touch round out the bill tonight at La Cave.
