The universe must have something against students who live in the canyons. Shuttering a 105-year elementary school apparently wasn't enough.
Sometime after Silverado Children's Center was closed at 6 p.m. Thursday, someone (or a band of assholic someones) broke in and allegedly stole $100, two printers and a computer.
For shits and giggles, the place was trashed.

The $100 was supposed to be used for a trips to Knott's Berry Farm.
Chay Peterson, who teaches at the center, which is located off of Santiago Canyon Road, said an office laminator was thrown against a wall and broken, and the portable phones are no longer working. She said the thieves left behind a crowbar, and authorities are taking finger prints.
The center is run on a shoe-string budget, with teachers, parents and volunteers running fundraisers and performing all the maintenance work.
On behalf of humanity, we say to the burglars, “Fuck you very much!”
