TED is coming to Costa Mesa.
No, not the Ted at right but the TED event that the independent TEDxOrangeCoast brings to Segerstrom Concert Hall on Oct. 10.
The all-day “Redefining Relevance” promises “25 carefully selected speakers” and to “serve as a platform for inspired conversation and innovative ideas.”

Names of any of those carefully selected speakers have not been released, but TEDxOrangeCoast organizer and producer Mojdeh Eskandari vows there will be “local innovators, forward thinkers and game-changing entrepreneurs.”
“Innovation Without Borders,” the inaugural TEDxOrangeCoast event in May 2011, drew a crowd of 1,200, and organizers expect 1,500-1,800 attendees this year. Indeed, it is such a hot ticket that it's suggested one register to attend ASAP before tickets actually go on sale. Visit:

Tickets formally go on sale Saturday at $100 for general admission and $50 for students.
