In its third year, Firkfest is a beer lover’s kind of event. And we aren’t just saying that because we’ve volunteered in the past. Created in the mind of one Greg Nagel, it is a curated collection of brews from locations throughout Southern California. No need to cross county lines to enjoy San Diego, Los Angeles or even sips from the 909; they come to you!
Expect 30 plus breweries descending upon Anaheim, serving over 50 casks. While pours are unlimited, bring some credit/cash for eats on site from Lebanese Street Food (a.k.a. Falasophy catering), ADYA, Pour Vida Latin Flavor and The Iron Press (Leaving the event for grub isn’t necessary!). Entertainment from The Corzines, along with some DJ tunes, keep the vibe lively. Did we mention theĀ free parking structure a couple of blocks away?
This year’s charity is the Orange County Brewers Guild. How fitting. Per Nagel, “Cask beer is one-of-a-kind, brewery fresh.” Check out what Cleo had to say about it last year, or view the slideshow from their inaugural year.
