Get out your Celtic dance shoes for the 36th Annual Irish Fair & Music Festival in quaint and breezy Irvine; it’s the biggest Irish fest in the West. Listen to traditional sounds from the bagpipes, see dance performances, and enjoy music from popular bands such as the Fenians, Dublin 4 and Sligo Rags. You’ll learn a great deal about Irish culture and history as you indulge in the many types of ethnic food and creative activities during the exhibition. Sheepherding and plenty of artsy vendors have mesmerized audiences in the past—who knows what surprises are in that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this year? Thousands of participants are expected to attend this spectacular event, so even if you’re not Irish, grab a dancing partner and join the festivities—or at least yell, “Erin go Bragh!” at some point.
