Mega-musical Hello Dolly! comes to the OC Pavilion this month to hit Orange County with a dose of musical theater. The 1969 film, which starred heavyweights like Barbra Streisand, Walter Matthau and Michael Crawford, may have thrust the story into mainstream adoration, but it was the stage version that cemented Hello Dolly! as a bonafide classic. Sweeping the 1964 Tonys (nominated for 11 and winning a whopping ten awards), this story of a fiery matchmaker (originally played by Carol Channing) has continued to perform with strong support over the years.
