The Little Mermaid. The Met: Live in HD: The Magic Flute. It’s an encore presentation of Julie Taymor’s production that was the first the Metropolitan Opera beamed live into theaters. Known as Die Zauberflöte when the Mozart classic debuted in Stockholm on Sept. 30, 1791, it follows Prince Tamino, who is supposed to rescue the Queen of the Night’s daughter Pamina from captivity under the high priest Sarastro.
