In everyone's long quest to find the best pho in Orange County (and hence, the world outside of Vietnam and maybe Paris), the names inevitably stick to you. There are the numerically inclined classics, of course—Pho 88, Pho 76, Pho 54—along with powerhouses like Pho Thanh Lich, Pho Quan Trung, and Pho Dakao. But as 1.5- and second-generation Vietnamese-Americans have entered the business, they've upped the competition dramatically, nearly all riffing off their namesake dish to groan-inducing or hilarious results.
