Get your 420 on this week! From budtender BBQs to New Generation dispensary’s solar return party to women veteran wellness retreats– there’s lots of greenery in the scenery this week. Here’s a list of the herbal happenings in SoCal that’ll immerse you in the blossoming, smoky community. Here’s the week through budding lenses:
Budtender BBQ, Pool Party & Poolside Movie:
This is the private event space for the Dr. D brand of cannabis and health products. Every week on either Wednesday or Thursday is the budtender bbq. You must prove that you are a budtender in the industry to get on the list. If you can do that, you’ll be granted a beautiful house with a pool and hot tub to use. There will be cozy chairs to lounge on poolside, light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Dispensary partners will be donating plenty of complimentary pre rolls, and a dab bar will be available to taste test. The movie of the evening will be Dumb and Dumber. What more could you want than a pool, snacks, cool people and a hilarious movie that everyone can quote?

This three day women veterans retreat is designed to nourish the soul in all that feels good. There will be inspirational speakers, interactive learning, and one on one sessions held in a hotel setting that’s geared toward health and wellness. This event is the perfect place for lady vets to connect with their beautiful community and empower each other. Perhaps the most important element of this retreat is Saturday’s panel at 2pm called: “Women Veterans In a Growing Field.” The discussion is meant to open up the conversation to veterans who might not know or understand the benefits of cannabis for an array of common vet ailments, like PTSD, physical pain, depression, anxiety, etc. Speakers at that panel include OC’s Kristoffer Lewandowski, the president of Humboldt Solutions and who beat a life sentence in prison for less than six pot plants; Jason David, the CEO of Jayden’s Journey; and Heather Manus, from RN Cannabis Nurse Warriors. It will be a weekend of enlightenment indeed.
When: Friday Oct. 13-15 all day.
Where: Pacific Palms Resort Conference Center; 1 Industry Hills Pkwy, City of Industry, CA 91744
