ORIGINAL POST, JAN. 15, 7:03 A.M.: Santa Ana Police detectives are reaching out to the public to find possible additional victims of plumber and heating/air conditioner repairman who allegedly molested the little girls of two customers who'd hired him.
Hai Truong Vo, 39, of Garden Grove, advertised his services in the Nguoi Viet newspaper as “Joseph's Plumbing Heating and A/C Repair,” was known to customers as “Joseph” and largely was hired through referrals, according to a Santa Ana Police statement that also noted that, like the girls, Vo is of Vietnamese descent.
Vo is suspected of molesting a seven-year-old girl in Westminster in 2011, and a six-year-old girl in Santa Ana in 2013. Once inside the girls' homes, “Vo was able to find an opportunity to be alone with the victims,” police say.
Cops do no indicate what tipped them off to Vo, who was arrested on suspicion of child molestation Tuesday by Santa Ana Police Family Crimes Unit detectives. In their hunt for additional victims, police point out he used to drive a white minivan and was last driving a white Toyota Prius. Anyone who suspects Vo had inappropriate contact or access to children is asked to call Santa Ana Police detectives at 714.245.8351.
