Where did you grow up, and where's home these days?
MU: I moved around a lot, from Dallas to Seattle to Long Beach to OC.
CA: I grew up in Oregon and OC. We live in Mission Viejo now.
What's your favorite childhood memory?
MU: Eating all the food at family gatherings.
CA: Playing in the woods with my cousins in Oregon.
What turns you on– creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
MU: Besides the obvious…. chips.
CA: Good food, because it represents all those things.
You have a whole day to yourself; what do you do?
MU: A beach and a drink.
Last book you read or last movie watched; how was it?
MU: Gone Girl. Disappointing.
CA: Pok Pok, the best cookbook I've read.
Last thing you looked up/searched online:
CA: Upcoming festivals in the area.
How did you two meet?
MU:We worked at Sears together in the shoe department 15 years ago.
CA:15 years and we're still dating.
Do you have any skills that are non-food related?
MU: I'd like to think I'm an amazing mother to my two boys.
CA: I'm the funniest dad around. Fact.
What would you be doing if you weren't in this business?
MU: I'd be a stay at home mom
CA: Something creative.
Tell us something most people don't know about you.
MU: I was born in a refugee camp on the Thai border.
CA: I pretty much tell people how awesome I am everyday.
Is there anything you'd like readers to know that we haven't asked?
