You get all sorts of surprises when you listen to Good Old War’s new album Broken Into Better Shape. The album starts off with bright strumming and high tempos and later softens into emotional acoustic-centric pieces like title track “Broken Into Better Shape,” which evoke folk influences. And then there are the alternative rock songs with choruses reminiscent of Yellowcard. Mix it all together and you have material for a dynamic live show, where audience members will be taken on a wavelength of emotions.
