If you haven't heard, a zombie apocalypse is coming. (Believe it, people–the US military is training for it.) Here's what may be the tastiest way to prepare yourself.
The folks behind LA's famed food and drink pairing series, DioNicEss, are teaming up with Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach to host an epic, zombie-themed meal on Dec. 9, featuring dishes related to the walking dead. During the dinner, which they're calling “DieN'Isis,” a pharmacologist, forensics expert, neuroscientist and others will discuss what to expect and do in the event of a zombie invasion. (Ruuuuun!)
]
Each of the five (or more) courses will focus on the “chronological elements of transformation”:
The cause
Death
Decomposition
Reanimation
BRAAAIIIINS!!
Bored with brains
Skeletal remains
The cure
Beware, the meal is not for the squeamish. We expect to see seafood still wriggling in fear.
To quell any anxieties, every dish will be paired with specially themed beers brewed specifically for the event by Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, Eagle Rock Brewery, Monkish Brewing Co., Phantom Carriage Brewery, TAPS Fish House & Brewery and The Bruery.
Tickets are $80 and very limited. Find more details on the DioNicEss Facebook page.
