This comedy-thriller from playwright Rupert Holmes starts the I-did-not-see-that-coming twists from the very first scene. What begins as a devious plot by a wife and her lover to kill her uptight husband quickly unravels—it's not an actual murder plot but a scene from a play rehearsal, with even more sinister undertones. And that's just the opening act. We wouldn't dream of spoiling any more—Holmes has a keen sense of the unexpected, and his 1990 hit, Accomplice, doles out as many belly laughs as it does gasps of surprise. This is definitely not a dull night of theater, so head over to Stages for a truly unique whodunnit—once you figure out what's actually being done in the first place.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 24. Continues through Nov. 2, 2014
