After three seasons, Alexis Bellino is leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County–and the 35-year-old mother of three is taking her “Jesus Jugs” with her!
The “reality” show cast member is partly blaming the co-star who coined that nickname with helping push her back into obscurity.

“The Real Housewives of Orange County is a reality show that is meant to entertain and engage audiences with the lives of its cast members,” reads a statement from Bellino and her husband, Jim Bellino. “This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no
longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road,
however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these
unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of
the law.”
The statement is referring to the words and actions of Tamra Barney, who during the Bravo show's 2012 reunion special in July called Alexis Bellino “Jesus Jugs” and Bellino and her husband “faux Christians.”
“Jesus Jugs doesn't just cross the line, it catapults over it,” Alexis later blogged. “That comment has offended Christians everywhere. How does she decorate her home in crosses yet make a remark like that without an ounce of guilt? Then she is promoting Jesus Jugs wine glasses her Facebook page? So now it's blasphemy along with defaming Jesus and monetizing on what He sacrificed for us.”
Barney's accusations also sparked legal threats and the first hints that the most recently concluded season, the franchise flagship's seventh–might've been the couple's last. Alexis Bellino clashed with other cast members besides Barney, as was witnessed in both parts of the reunion special. Treating Bravo crew members poorly, being treated like a child by her husband, raising red flags at a local Nordstrom and bragging about her wealth were among the accusations lodged against Alexis by her former best friend Gretchen Rossi and newcomer Heather Dubrow.
We'll always remember the Bellinos less for their on-screen battles and more for real-world flubs. Jim was sued in Orange County Superior Court in 2011 for alleged fraud, deceit, wrongful foreclosure, breach of
written contracts and other accusations tied to a hotel he'd
financed–around the same time the couple faced foreclosure on their
6-bedroom, 6,400-square-foot Newport Beach home.
Shortly after Alexis made her debut as the show's latest bubble-headed bleach blonde, she was partying with Jim poolside at the Balboa Bay Club on the Fourth of July 2010 when an unattended stroller carrying two of her toddlers rolled in the water. A security guard, who was followed closely by daddy, dove in to prevent the kiddies from harm.
The holy floatation devices were otherwise occupied, apparently.
