There is arguably no better SoCal spot to catch 4th of July fireworks than from the decks of the historic Queen Mary. For this Independence Day, the ship presents its All-American celebration, paying homage to classic Americana over the years. Every deck of the ship will act as a mini time-machine, starting with a throwback to the '20s, '30s and '40s (the Queen Mary made her maiden voyage in 1936) with old-timey fun like a stilt-walking Uncle Sam, a barbershop quartet and games from the Golden Era. Next up is a mid-century party with music from the '40s, '50s and '60s, including a Beatles cover band and vintage games. Then, the '70s, '80s and '90s take the stage with disco, dance music and pop—but it's all a prelude to one of the grandest fireworks displays in the state.
