It's uncanny that such musical talent can be passed down the bloodline—just like green eyes or dwarfism—and even stranger that “I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry” is from the same family tree as the Monday Night Football theme song. But different as they are, both catalogues from father and son Hank Williams and Hank Jr. have become good ol' American classics, any way you look at it. Though cowboy rockstar Hank Williams Jr. is busy traveling the states (mostly the South), California fans have the next best thing: All My Rowdy Friends, the “ultimate Hank Williams Jr. tribute band.” They play at bars, motorcycle rallies and beer festivals—and this week, they perform at the House of Blues. It's country, it's rock, it's a shit-kickin' good time.
