Garden Grove punk stalwarts AM—spotted most recently in the shadows beneath a bridge in Texas—do Crime guitar at first-album Replacements velocity, and that is for sure some kind of potency. It’s murder by guitar and improper handling of a corpse by the rhythm section, too—loud and rattled and produced to sound like the deep end of a missile silo—when they had their portable generator, no place within an irresponsible day’s drive of central county was safe from an illegal sidewalk show.
