This year, the Anatolian (that would be the western two-thirds of the Asian part of Turkey to you) Festival leaves the Great Park and heads over to the OC Fairgrounds, where maybe—just maybe—you can still find a discarded fried twinkie left over from summer's gastro-obstacle-course known as the OC fair. This food festival, on the other hand, isn't so much into the culinary whatzits as it is into traditional, simply delicious food of the Anatolian cuisine. Dozens of Turkish delicacies include baklava, soups, kabobs—and don't miss the manti, dumplings filled with meat and topped with garlic-yogurt sauce and paprika butter. There's also live music, dancing, and large-scale replicas of architectural landmarks.
