Britney Spears, an American popular music singer you may be passingly familiar with, is going back on tour–“The Circus Starring Britney Spears”–with a stop at the Honda Center in Anaheim on April 19. It's her first arena tour in five years, her press release kindly informs us.
The tour is named after her new album, Circus, in stores (a non-iTunes, physical place where they sell CDs…weird, right?) today. Also today? Britney's 27th birthday! Have a good one, Brit. I'm sure there's many years of unrelenting media scrutiny to come!
Support for the tour comes in the form of burlesque act/reality show stars/something resembling a musical group the Pussycat Dolls, who can be spotted at the Honda Center this Saturday as part of the KISS-FM Jingle Ball. There's a pre-sale going on for tickets RIGHT NOW (password: IHEARTBRIT), which range from a surprisingly reasonable $36.50 to the surely recession-proof $549.50 “Toxic VIP Experience” (a VIP GA ticket, access to a “preshow party” and “back stage tour,” reserved parking, “Exclusive Britney Spears Tour Gift Item,” “Limited Edition Tour Laminate,” and, head-scratchingest of all, a “Commemorative Ticket Stock”), for all of us Chris Crockers out there.
More details here. The coolest thing Britney's music has recently been associated with after the jump!

That's right, it's the Chuck Bass-centric “Gossip Girl” promo featuring Circus lead single “Womanizer”!
