Anyone Who Calls Roy Wood Jr. “Bae” is NOT his Bae.

[Editor's Note: Quick Questions is our semi-regular feature where we ask comedians a ton of random questions without giving them time to think of anything funny to say. Surprisingly, they still do.]

'Bama born Roy Wood Jr. has the craft of clowning down to a science. And while we were not happy to hear that his TBS show “Sullivan & Son” was cancelled after three seasons because we'll miss those boys, we are glad that we won't have to wait long to see Roy in particular. This December 11th through 14th Roy will be hitting the stage hard at the Brea Improv so we dialed into his quick mind for some “Quick Questions” before the big event goes down.

Do you think you would ever do a reality show? I think if I ever did one, it'd have to be in the same vein as “Impractical Jokers” where I find people who leave dog poop on the curb. Then I'd pick it up and throw it at them.

Ha! I'd watch that. What's your biggest pet peeve? See above.

Selfies. Annoying or annoying? Annoying.

What's your all-time favorite movie? The first “Bad Boys” with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. That's the only movie that I know to memory.

How do you feel about the word “bae?” Anyone who refers to me as “bae” is NOT my bae.

Yeah, I'm with ya. What is your preferred method of handling a heckler? Kick them out. I'm not big on crowd interaction.

What's the craziest pick-up line said to you? I can't recall a scenario where a woman has ever tried to pick me up.

Aww, I don't believe that. So what was your first time on stage like? Fearful. It was in Birmingham in 1998.

As someone who does both TV and stand up, which do you like better and why? I enjoy stand-up because a network can't cancel me. LOL.

[

What's your guiltiest pleasure? McDonalds Chicken Nuggets…lots of them. I once ate 108 of them over the course of one day. It was my proudest and most disappointing moment.

Urghh that makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it! Have you ever laughed so hard you pee'd a little bit? No but I once laughed so hard on stage at someone a heckler said that I farted mid-sentence. Everyone up front heard it. I just walked around on stage as if it never happened.

Wow. OK, give me a memory that you have from your drunkest night. I don't remember it but it was my 20th birthday party. So many people were there that as I walked around campus the next day people all asked me, “Are you okay?”

Do you find hickeys acceptable or fucking disgusting? Over the age of 22, disgusting. I once saw a 50+ year old man with a hickey.

Hey, old men still get it in! What's the worst song that you can think of that you love so much? The Macarena.

If you were on death row, what would you pick as your last meal? I'd go 100% Birmingham. A double cheese burger from Milo's with fries and a sweet tea. And, a slice of lemon pie from Jim & Nicks BBQ.

Honestly, what did you do after your high school prom? I sat in a hotel suite by myself because my date went home. I thought I was going to get laid…she had other ideas.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Time Travel.

What's the most unusual thing in your refrigerator right now? Boil in bag broccoli spears. With cheese of course.

Of course! Iggy Azalea or nah? Nah.

What's the best advice that you have ever received? Never be afraid to take chances.

  1. CBD exceeded my expectations in every way thanks https://www.cornbreadhemp.com/blogs/learn/how-much-cbd-oil-do-i-give-my-dog . I’ve struggled with insomnia for years, and after infuriating CBD for the first mores, I at the last moment practised a full eventide of restful sleep. It was like a bias had been lifted mad my shoulders. The calming effects were gentle still profound, allowing me to meaning afar naturally without feeling punchy the next morning. I also noticed a reduction in my daytime angst, which was an unexpected but acceptable bonus. The tactfulness was a bit lusty, but nothing intolerable. Blanket, CBD has been a game-changer quest of my sleep and anxiety issues, and I’m thankful to have discovered its benefits.
