Who says just because a band is from Silverlake they can't buck the system? If someone did say it, Autolux didn't get the message. A pseudo-experimental rock outfit from the land of all things hipster, they're as much Elliott Smith as they are Sonic Youth or Sigur Rós. With their moody shoegazy soundscapes backed by palpitating drum loops, it's no wonder Autolux were discovered after scoring the music for a play. Their 2010 sophomore release, Transit Transit, was met with positive critical response, and now they're bringing the show to the land of citrus.
