Baskin-Robbins 31 Cent Scoop Night is April 27

April could be nicknamed “Cheap Ice Cream” Month because the cool people at Baskin-Robbins are holding the philanthropic 31-cent Scoop Night two weeks after Ben & Jerry's did.

In addition to inexpensive dessert, customers have the opportunity to donate to a local fire charity. The Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation is already giving a check for $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, so show some love to the brave heroes who protected us from the Santiago Canyon fires.

This sweet event is being held on hump day, Wednesday, April 27, from 5 to 10 p.m. To find a participating store, here's a link to the locator page. If you can't bring a friend, bring something to read because there's gonna be a wait for delicious flavor.

Speaking of flavor, its flavor of the month is the appropriately named Firehouse #31. Too nondescript for your taste? Request a pink spoonful of the stuff, and taste the blend of vanilla and red-cinnamon ice cream, with a crunchy lace of matching hot-cinnamon ribbon throughout. If that doesn't worry you, then maybe the hot candy bits incorporated will.
