With the end of summer just around the corner, what better way to cap off the season than some BBQ and music! Coming to the OC for the first time and for its 10th annual run, the BBQ Music Fest is bigger, better, and spicier than ever before.
Taking place at the Fountain Valley Sports Park August 16-18, the BBQ Music Fest is bringing all of their staple food and music must-haves as well as a couple of new add-ins. Friday and Saturday will feature local vendors and traveling BBQ teams from across the country and the world, including title-winning teams from Indiana, Florida, and Arizona. Each vendor and team will be bringing their own signature BBQ taste and flavor for guests to enjoy.
Sunday will feature BBQ Fest’s newest addition – the Backyard BBQ competition. Home BBQ-ers and cooks will be able to face-off in a fierce competition to determine who is the best home pit master. The judge panel will include professional cooks, former judges, and winners, as well as randomly-picked guests to truly determine who’s the best.
Every night will include live music with bands like the Flashpants who will be bringing on their own decades covers to pair with other country-rock bands that will also be taking center stage.
Friday and Saturday night will be all about karaoke. A live band will join the singer (or singers) on-stage and anyone is welcome to hop on and takeover the mic. Be sure to have your karaoke song set before you arrive as the queue can be quite long.
The BBQ Music Fest caters to people of all ages, with several animal shows, petting zoos, and magic demonstrations for the younger crowd and a couple of drink options and activities for the older ones. Games and inflatables are open to the public all weekend long as well.
The Fest will also feature an all-you-can-eat VIP RIB Village if you just can’t choose one dish to try – you might as well just go all in! Special perks will also be included in the VIP RIB Village admission.
