Board-certified ophthalmologist Dr. Peter Joson, who is fellowship-trained in glaucoma, is a great practitioner who also gives back to the less fortunate. He is an advocate and volunteer for the nonprofits EyeCare America, which since 1985 has helped nearly 1.8 million needy people receive sight-saving care, and the Foundation Fighting Blindness, which drives research into preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by blinding retinal diseases. Joson—who double majored in biology and economics at Cornell, was a research associate at UC Irvine School of Medicine and doctor of medicine recipient from New York Medical College—is a founding member and officer in the Orange County Glaucoma Society. His expertise at the Tayani Institute is in the diagnosis and management of general ophthalmic conditions and the many varieties of glaucoma, the treatment of which he considers science and art.
