If you're going to get stuck in dismal OC traffic, pray it's on southbound Highway 133 where it meets Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. Unlike so many congested spots, at least here you're not forced to stare at ugly, concrete sound walls or at the rear-end-bumper lights of backed-up traffic for as far as the eye can see. This T intersection allows you to watch waves crash on the nearby beach. Hell, you can even hear and smell them while you wait. You may even catch a glimpse of passing sailboats and daydream about riding waves instead of pavement.
