While we have lobbed many bombs at KFI-AM 64 over the years, we have nothing but unrequited love for longtime morning host Bill Handel, and not just because his Saturday-morning Handel on the Law is the best radio in Southern California that's not Tom Leykis, Breakfast with the Smiths, Breakfast with the Beatles, or Good Food with Evan Kleiman. Handel is a laugh riot, one of the last media personalities truly influenced by the Borscht Belt ethos of insulting everyone and anyone–the more ruthlessly and hilariously, the better. And heaven knows Handel has insulted audiences over the years, with Armenians, Persians, and Jews (and especially Armenian Persian Jews) on top–but only because they deserved it, you know?
Anyhoo, Handel is having a huge celebration for his show's 20th anniversary at the City National Grove of Anaheim this Saturday, a celebration so big that there are two showcases–and tickets are about to run out.

You can find all the information and ticket info at KFI's website, but folks can expect songs, clips, hand-shaking and insults. We had put in an interview request for Handel through Jesus Christ himself, KFI's Neil Saavedra, but Handel has mysteriously lost his voice ahead of the event, so expect an interview on his career in the coming weeks.
Oh, and the headline about Handel being a Latino Jew? Absolutely true: Handel was born in Brazil to Eastern European parents. Smoke THAT, haters…
