Were it not for the bizarre, often-disturbing images of crucified, bloody little people on the album covers of Chicago punk band Dwarves, I may not have known who Blag Dahlia is. Dahlia, a.k.a. Paul Cafaro, is the singer for both outfits, but his solo work under the near-moniker of the bifurcated, would-be Hollywood starlet features a fuzzy, garagey sound with vocals not unlike famous shoegazers the Jesus and Mary Chain. But aside from a cool sound, Dahlia and his cohorts have been involved in legendary shenanigans over the years, some of which involve the permanent disappearance of drug-addled friends. So even if you don't like the music, show up to perhaps bear witness to legendary shenanigans in the making.
