The story goes like this: One day, former Blink-182 singer Tom Delonge was driving his car, and out of nowhere, like a message from above, he thought of the name Angels N Airwaves. Formed by alchemizing talents from other bands-Rocket from the Crypt, the Offspring, the Distillers and others-Angels N Airwaves hope to ride the same Zeppelin Jimmy Page did in the '70s. Yeah, seriously: Some people think of Angels and Airwaves as another one of those fusion supergroups. The real question: Is this supposed supergroup as good as they claim? That really depends if you liked Blink, the Offspring, the Distillers and Rocket from the Crypt to begin with. Either way, Angels N Airwaves sure have the ambition of a supergroup-since forming in 2005, they've put out two albums and are still coming back for more.
