The OC Public Library, UC Irvine and the California Center for the Book team up once again to offer a literary lineup with something for everybody. Everybody who reads, that is. This daylong bookapalooza of authors and literature, workshops and panels, features best-selling writers of mysteries (OC local Elizabeth George), literary fiction (Janet “White Oleander ” Fitch), romance, children's literature and science-fiction, not to mention our own wise-ass ¡Ask a Mexican! columnist Gustavo Arellano and some Hollywood types-of whom somebody will ask why the book is always better than the movie. Other highlights include a conversation with Marianne Wiggins, whose novel The Shadow Catcher was a finalist for the National Book Award. Will books be for sale? Will authors sign them? Will there be an inspiring keynote address with a yummy luncheon? Yes, yes, yes.
