Between the upcoming Lalo Alcaraz-involved Pixar flick Coco and the annual spike in sugar skulls and skeleton make up, it's safe to say that the Dia de los Muertos has become increasingly popular in the States. Las Laguna Gallery's own 'Bring Us Your Dead' show demonstrates this, as multiple artists explore this traditional Mexican holiday honoring death, life, and love, family and the beyond. Working in a range of mediums from oil to neon to photography to sculptural dolls, artists Kimm Barnes, Arnold Anthony Orosco, Sergio Garcia Gill, Julie Cavaz, Nela Dunato and others dive into colorful depictions of portraits, face masks, skeletons, Mexican culture and the afterlife. 'Get ready to trek across that mysterious astro plane into that great beyond.
