Never underestimate the emotional effectiveness of music. Try watching a horror movie with the music turned off and see if it's still scary. While pianist John Proulx and bassist Chuck Berghoffer may not be monsters in the strictest sense (unless you're talking about the inner monster that resides in us all), their current project, Jazz Monsters, injects a little pulse-quickening exhilaration into music, creating a thrilling controlled chaos. So, chances are, you'll be safe. You might want to wear a crucifix and eat some garlic bread before the show, though, just in case.
