Three months ago, Edwin broke the news that the Bruery, the popular craft cerveserÃa that operates out of an ugly warehouse in a forgotten corner of Placentia, would be opening a brewpub in Placentia's Placita Santa Fe district.
Well, that's all correct, except for the brewpub part and the Placentia part.

The Bruery announced today via social media that they will be taking over the space recently vacated by the Frog's Breath cheese store, on Glassell just north of the Orange Circle. The new space will have a beer and wine tasting bar and sell bottles of craft beer, wine, artisanal cheeses and charcuterie.
The Placita Santa Fe project has officially been killed; the current Tasting Room near the 57 and Orangethorpe will remain open, though eventually that location will close on Sundays.
The owners hope to be open at the end of summer. If they get done in time, this could be a reason to brave the crowds of the Orange International Street Fair Labor Day weekend.
You know, at this rate, Old Town Orange will be something we've dreamed of for years: a place in OC to do a proper pub crawl. Beer geeks and old people going antiquing: clearly, a match made in heaven.
