Concerts from bona-fide blues legends are getting fewer and farther between (BB King recently turned 88!), so this show at the Coach House is essential for any fan of the genre. Buddy Guy, forefather of the Chicago blues movement and an inspiration to greats like Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix—not to mention good friend Eric Clapton—is currently on a West Coast tour. And, because the music gods are smiling, most concert dates are in California. Catch him as he plays live a medley of classic blues standards, new tunes, and some music that can only be described as divine. The musical icon even released a new album this year—proving that, at 77 years old, he's as dynamic and creative as ever—simply (and perfectly) titled Rhythm N Blues.
