Arianna Huffington

Winston Churchill is often quoted as saying, “If you’re not a liberal when you’re 25, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative by the time you’re 35, you have no brain.” In her early career, media mogul Arianna Huffington fought hard for the right side as she helped her then-husband, Michael Huffington, campaign for seats in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, only to later divorce him and her political ideals in favor of the staunch left—going so far as to campaign for California governor against Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2003. A frequent contributor to NPR’s Left, Right N Center, Huffington can safely say she has filled all roles during her career in the political spotlight. She has authored 12 books, writes a nationally syndicated column and is currently co-founder/editor of the Huffington Post , a website you might have heard of. Now you can have the chance to meet this influential commentator (No. 12 on Forbes ’ first-ever list of the “Most Influential Women In Media”) during a special evening hosted by the Orange County Democrats.
