If all this holly-jolly business is starting to trigger your gag reflex, maybe you need a little anti-holiday entertainment. The latest installment of the Art Theatre's “Mondo Fridays”(specializing in cult, camp and horror cinema), comes 1974's Black Christmas, a film that many consider to be the very first slasher flick. The story is as classic as they come: an unseen psycho terrorizes a sorority house with obscene phone calls before killing them one by one. Starring Margot Kidder of all people (whose performance actually won her Best Actress at the Canadian Film Awards), Black Christmas is the perfect holiday film for those who could really give a shit about being merry and bright.
