Nothing is spookier than disasters, because unlike vampires and Freddy Krueger, you never know when or where they’ll strike next. This is why one should always be prepared. The American Red Cross of Orange County is hosting its 25th Annual Disaster Preparedness Academy where attendees can learn how to run safety programs, work with the media during a crisis, and test their skills during a mass-casualty simulation. More than 20 different workshops will be offered, each taught by an expert, providing valuable information on how to best survive should the worst happen. Unfortunately, no zombie attack survival classes are being offered—but during that kind of invasion, you’re either a zombie or you’re dead.
