Once annual fixtures on OC stages, the Los Angeles-based Troubadour Theater Company hasn’t visited our fair environs in several years. So, the arrival of the free-wheeling commedia del arte troupe in Long Beach is reason to applaud, for it’s a chance to see a riotously entertaining fusion of classic rock and even more classic source material (Fleetwood Macbeth; The Comedy of Aerosmith; Twelfth Dog Night. ) This time, it’s Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life meeting soul legend Stevie Wonder. Head Troubie Matt Walker once again helms the production, which is reason enough to make the trek to parts westward.
